Abstract:
Without combustion, molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC) convert chemical energy contained in fuel and oxidizer to electric energy via electro-chemical
reaction. Performance and service life of MCFCs depends on its operating temperature. So control of the operation temperature within a specified range
and reducing temperature fluctuations is highly desirable. In a first step towards this goal numerical simulations are computed.
